On Sale @ Whole Foods 11/3

    Primal Fuel
Aside from sausage, $3.99/lb; split chix breast, $2.49/lb; haddock, $6.99/lb and red peppers; Nutiva Coconut Manna, $6.99/16oz. Fair warning, I cleared the shelf of the Nutiva in Dedham, MA. For some reason Nutiva's in the baking aisle and the Artisana's w/ the ethnic foods.

Oh, and eggs $1.99/18. Unfortunately medium but still good.

Yeah, I just scored some of that coconut manna last night. Holy crap, it's crazy-good. This is the cheapest anyone will ever find Nutiva coconut manna, ever, so if you've been wanting to try it, but have been put off by the high price, here is your chance.

FWIW I signedup for their sales newsletters for my "local" store. It's about 20 miles RT which anyone who lives in the SF Bay area knows that's an hour of crawling congestion so I like to plan ahead and maximize the use of my exhorbitantly costly cornahol, which runs about 4 bucks a gallon. What I save by not purchasing cereal goes in the gas tank. I combine the sale shopping with picking up my CSA box. I added the WF app to my iPad where my shopping list resides, so I can check recipes while at the store. Wish California eggs were that low.

It is Nutiva's name for coconut butter. Ground coconut meat, which would include the oil and the solids (not the water). Can be made at home from shredded coconut I believe, I have not done it. Search the forum for uses, I like it right out of the jar.

It can be crazy expensive so it's not a staple item for me, just an occasional treat.
