I actually am feeling better and more energetic by having high-protein breakfasts, but I don't see the logic in staying so low-carb. That has absolutely nothing to do with resetting leptin.

"I'd ask you to cite your sources, but that does not appear to be your modus operandi."

    Enjoyed that.

you have to own your own way of life so yeah, ppl who know lotsa stuff are useful, but you still are the one with the responsibility of how you live. interesting read that was. i could get into suspicion of the medical profession, as in why is anyone who is one of them suddenly extra credible coz they are a quack? then there's the economic priveledge to actually be able to afford that much protein food, the $5k jacket lol which is just obscene which no one else has picked up on. but i would be being picky. he seems to mean incredibly well and people who need to be helped are being helped. my last 3kg has pretty much dropped off doing the protocol as well but i suspect the stopping snacking is the cause. has anyone btw actually been to see him in person? now that would be interesting.

That link raises some questions and gets the curiosity going. Now I want to find out more about some of the cons posed by that PaleoHacks poster. Thanks for posting this, Mal.

I've never been impressed by Dr. Kruse. His ideas seem cobbled together and made up, he doesn't present research to support his assertions, and his writing style is nearly incomprehensible. Overall he just doesn't give the impression that he really knows what he's talking about when compared to, say, Dr. Harris at Archevore (PaNu).
Today I will: Eat food, not poison. Plan for success, not settle for failure. Live my real life, not a virtual one. Move and grow, not sit and die.

i dont get why everyone is so out to disprove kruse. sure he may say somethings that dont make sense but the fact of the matter is people who follow his leptin reset procedure see positive results. whether its because of leptin sensitivity or something else doesnt really matter, results matter. its like some people on these boards have a secret agenda to discredit him

The jacket thing bugged the everloving shit out of me. That poor sales clerk having some strange guy drop trou in front of her. Who does that? She basically got treated as the object in his fantasy for no regard how she might feel.

Of course, just because Dr. Kruse may not have normal social boundaries doesn't mean he can't be right about some stuff. I've done well basically following the protocol but I also attribute it to focusing on meals and giving up snacking. Not only is it just less food, the idea moderating how often your insulin is raised makes sense to me.

I think he poses yet another perspective in a sea of perspectives about nutrition and primal/paleo. I don't take his word as gospel (but I don't take anyone's word as gospel). I can be informed by his opinion and the many other opinions of "experts" out there and then apply selected principles to my own life and see what works for me.

Nobody has found the "golden ticket" to perfect health and weight loss. What works for some folks clearly doesn't work for others. Inform yourself but take everything with a grain of salt - that's my perspective.

One of the things that scares me about Dr Kruse is the way that he writes and the fact that he doesn't fix his grammatical errors. For one who is so well educated he doesn't very write well at all.
