    Thumbs up Mark's New Pyramid

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
I'm sure people have noticed Mark's New Pyramid if they bought his new book.

    I love it.

I founf that i was always eating more meet and eggs to feel satisfied. I was trying to eat more fruits and veggies, but my carbs were getting a little high. this makes much more sence, and my body agrees.

    Thanks, Mark.

Agree. I have always been heavier on the meat and I'll eat a couple of pounds a day on active days. Meat's got what you need. Vegetables are a supplement, not the main course.

I still disagree that tubers/starches are on the small end of the pyramid. I think things like sweet potatoes should be on the same level as leafy vegetables. But not for obese/diabetic people. So there really need to be two pyramids. But that would get too complicated and it's probably better to keep the message simple for people just starting out.
Today I will: Eat food, not poison. Plan for success, not settle for failure. Live my real life, not a virtual one. Move and grow, not sit and die.

Agreed. I think that most of us that have been doing this for awhile can figure out what does and does not work and implement what we have figured out through trial and error. Those just starting out need it to be simple. Complicating it will just make it, well......complicated. That will cause people to give up. Not saying that they are dumb and can't figure it out. It's just that in most cases the simplest approach is usually the most successful one.

I would like to see a pic of the new pyramid. I could buy the book I guess but I don't need it really.

Please post a pic. Was not planning on buying new book since several people says it just re-caps the basics.

I second Trish's request. I have PB and am not going to buy the new book.

    Lets see if this works-
    DOC102811-003..pdf

Yes, it worked! So the darker areas on the pyramid above healthy fats are
Moderation Foods; Fruits (locally grown, in season, high antioxidant (berries, pitted fruit); High Fat Dairy (raw, fermented, unpasteurized); Starchy Tubers, Wild Rice (athlete's carb option); Other nuts, seeds and nut butters (great snack option)

Herbs, Spices Extracts; Sensible Indulgences (dark chocolate, red wine); Supplements (omega 3, probiotics, protein/meal powder)

I'm guessing they will change it on the MDA site soon (under Primal 101).
