Best technique for measuring body fat?

    Primal Fuel
I'm starting to hone in on my target weight -- but it was set arbitrarily. I'm looking to set a goal based on body fat %. A few questions:

-How do I determine the bod fat % best for me?
-What's best technique/tool for measuring body fat and muscle.

Not sure where you live but there is a contraption called a Bod Pod. It is an egg shaped thing you sit in that measures your body fat %. I used to get it done when I was in collage at WCU in PA

Wow thats really interesting. There seem to be three in the Bay Area, but all at the local universities. do they let people from the general public get readings or is it just for research, do you think?

Another vote for BOD POD. There's a testing center right around the corner from my house. Yes, anybody can just go in.

DEXA scan. Scans are around $100. Gives a very accurate measure of body fat, as well as body composition. The actual test is ~10 minutes. You might need a dr's approval depending on the imaging center.

Corvidae, you can call UC Berkeley recreational sports and set up an appointment for the Bod Pod. They only want $80 for non-members.

Holy crap, Vegas is just a ghost town when it comes to healthy stuff like Bod Pods and Primal/Paleo docs. Every time I look at these kinds of lists, there's about a billion in SoCal and zero here.

    Crap.
