    Intermittent Fasting plan

I intend to try 2 intermittent fasts a week. Previously, I would start fasting after lunch, about 1 pm and carry on until breakfast, about 8 am the next day. It occured to me that a large part of the fast was while I was asleep. Since my body is at rest am I getting the most benefit out of this schedule? I thought I would change the fast so that a larger part of the time was during my awake, active hours. Or, on the other hand, would activity and sleep have any effect on the benefits of fasting anyway?

Agree, you get just as much benefit no matter when you do it, but if you include sleeping time, it's easier and less stressful. And you wouldn't have much of an eating window if you only fasted while awake!

I do it the opposite way, skipping breakfast and lunch. Haven't tried skipping dinner since it's the only chance I get to cook. But your way has the advantage of being asleep during the last hours, potentially making it easier to "skip lunch" as it were.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

I always wake up to pee, too. Thought it was normal. It's not? Been doing that since...always.

You could also try skipping breakfast, but eating both lunch and supper. This is based on the fact that Grok probably didn't have a meal waiting for him when he woke up, and surely nothing as substantial as our modern breakfasts.

Personally I find it easiest to fast from 7p (right after dinner) to noon the next day.

For women, isn't 14 hrs considered an IF, men 16 hours? I thought I read that here. I hope so, bc I IF daily based on the 14 hrs-dinner around 7:00 and breakfast around 9-9:30 ish the next day.

I do 15-16 hours every day, so the time I'm asleep has to be part of my fast, or I would need to learn to eat in my sleep. Which seems... unwise.
