I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Garden of Life's RAW Proein product? I am looking for a low carb protein for my veggie drinks. Does this fit into the Paleo/Primal diet?? Here is the link to the product:

I am not too concerned about the taste....I am more worried if it fits into Paleo/Primal nutrition....I am concerned about all the sprouted stuff it has....not sure if that is a bunch of grains or not??

I bought some of the super greens.. ucky tasting but as I understand it.. the grass is ok.. its the fruit (grain) that is the issue.

@FortKnox, I wouldn't bother with that (and I eat high raw, and I still say that). Do you have a VitaMix or a Blendtec, something of the sort? If so, you can just put a small piece of meat or fish in there. I know that seems -- wow, huh? -- but you truly can't taste it or smell it, nothing. Start out with a small piece if you are dubious, then work your way up. But it will only work with something on the level of a VitaMix. Another option would be an egg or two.

It is a great way to sneak in offal or any other meat you don't really like the taste of but desire its nutritional profile (for me, it's buffalo).

Do you vita mix raw meat and offal or do you cook it first?

You could do it either way.

I personally am still cooking (baking, no seasoning; you want it to be bland), but am trending towards shorter times.

I will make up a batch on my day off from work and then freeze each serving in its own small Zip-Loc. Pull down from freezer in the morning when I wake up, and by the time I finish my workout it is ready to go into the blender.

It's a good way to get rid of that flavorless chicken breast.

Thanks, TL. I just got a vita mix recently. This is a great idea. It blends things out to a level of smoothness where meat would just disappear into the mix.
