    Hey Seas!

I generally only eat twice a day anyway, morning if I'm hungry when I get up, if not I make it and take it to work with me, then will usually eat at some point after 11am. Then dinner in the evening for my second meal, when not doing silly things like only eating steak and eggs, I normally follow dinner a little while after with some fruit and/or berries.

Actually, it's the fruit I'm really missing at the moment. I like veggies, but not really missing them yet.

I think any red meat is fine, but you'd probably want to add extra fat as the venison is most likely leaner than your average steak.

yes venison is way leaner. i have no idea how i would tell how much extra fat to add. i have about 10 avocados to get thru then i will see. it is the lack of proper coffee which puts me off. i dont like black coffee at all.

Of course, that won't be the "steak and egg" diet. But you can start a new experiment called "the bambi and egg diet" 😄

bambi egg and bullet proof coffee experiment. i can have my butter in my coffee not on my venison. mine is wild venison too which will be subtly different to the farmed stuff.

I was going to suggest an extra couple if tablespoons of butter with your bambi, but if you're doing bulletproof coffee that'll do 😄

hey misabi, i am thinking about bambi and ermentrude and eggs starting monday. just for 2 weeks. i was looking back a few pages just now to work out how much you were eating so as i could work out how much i should be eating and i noticed you mention YAYOG. i have BBY which is by the same man but for women and i am really enjoying it. i've just completed 4 weeks of cycle 1. have you kept going with YAYOG and have you found you've progressed well with it? another thing i noticed is you said you'd been eating more carbs. i ended up doing the same thing as i was just getting too wired to function. interesting too, i did my first chin up after a hummingbird day. and i wasnt expecting to do it either! so going back to almost zero carbs again worries me. however, it took about 2 weeks of zero carbs before i started to get twitchy. about 3 weeks before i was driving around with the shotgun under the seat so if i stick to weekly re-feeds, i may be ok LOL

    Yeah, the refeeds should help.

Were you high protein the last time you were really low carb?
I'm finding that I'm not feeling like I'm in ketosis like I have done in the past when high fat, very low carb. I'm putting it down to the fact that my protein is much higher this time round and I'm converting enough to glucose to keep me out of keto.

The few times I've plugged what I'm eating into paleotrack I've found I'm sitting at or just above 2000 cals, 60 - 65% fat. Normally I sit at 1800, maybe 2000 if I'm trying to eat more to add some weight.

last time i think i was about 80-90g both protein and fat with under 2g carbs. all the carbs i ate were either from shellfish or the odd bit of garlic. i am only 1m66 and weigh prob about 63kg most of which LOL is muscle.
