You can certainly give them the PB books, but they're not going to make the changes unless they are 100% ready to do so. Seeing you as a living example can help, but honestly it's a leap into the unknown that most people aren't willing to take. My mother is a good example. She's been developing all kinds of allergies to common foods in the last five years. She recently found out that she's fructose intolerant and I also had her read the anti-wheat chapter in the Paleo Solution. While she dropped most foods with fructose, she still hasn't given up bread and other wheat products. She lives in a small town in the southern US that is kind of a food desert when it comes to Primal food choices. Perhaps your family has similar concerns about readily available, cheap junk foods vs. more expensive whole foods? I used to live in Leeds and know full well how hard it is to eat right when the bigger grocery stores are few and far between.
