i wonder if his military will let him continue to run that way. because in the US, it's considered an 'unfair advantage' over non-barefoot runners, and therefore not allowed (for racing, etc for military training stuff).

    and cool on him.

I'm pretty sure that with his rank he is able to influence policy.

I have a feeling that the U.S. Army policy is more about aesthetics, as any other minimalist shoe is allowed (NB Minimus, Merrel Glove, etc). Only split-toed shoes are prohibited under this rule. In addition, the policy only applies while in the physical fitness uniform, which is worn for organized fitness training and testing, among other things. What you wear with your civilian clothes is up to you.

But apparently the Navy is ok with them! Yay!

Props to Harry for a keen sense of emerging fashion, but VFFs do not equal barefoot running. Step in the right direction, though.

Typical 'Daily Fail' article where they mock anything slightly outside of their very narrow world. "strangest footwear fetishes"..."the wearers’ pretty little toes"..."We couldn’t quite believe it when we saw them"..."decidedly odd piece of sportswear"

I love me some Daily Fail. They had an article recently about how to get Hugh Jackman's upper body. The answer? Push ups. That is all.

Jackman must be livid now that his secret is out.

This confuses me, why don't they just teach EVERYONE to run barefoot? No unfair advantages there...
