I'm going to a vegan party this saturday and need something yummy to eat and share. I'm not a creative cook and my mind is sort of blanking here. I can bring a regular food item or dessert, whatever I want.
Any suggestions of something good to bring?
Guac and chopped veggies.

"We have all the food groups- meat and chocolate".
Marinated tomatoes and mushrooms! Olive oil...fresh spices like basil...a splash of balsamic vinegar (or more than a splash if you like a kick).
(And pack yourself a steak so you can eat too.)
Oven roasted cauliflower or root vegetables (toss in olive oil and spices, bake). Easy and delicious.
Ratatouille (check out the version on Cooking for Engineers).

I'd stay home. Seriously. That's like going to a pool party without a pool.
The only thing I could even begin to think about is sweet potato, banana and plantain chips with guacamole and salsa. Sounds pretty awful. Maybe fried zucchini and eggplant with a vegetarian tomato sauce. God, you can't even have cheese. Chocolate pudding with berries and coconut whipped cream maybe? Eggless coconut flour brownies?

I am boring...I always bring the raw veggie platter. But I find myself going back to that whenever temptation hits me...they are crunchy and filling.
You're kind of a weenie if you can't handle one party without meat or animal products. The whole "I can't socialize without meat" angle is pretty silly.I'd stay home. Seriously. That's like going to a pool party without a pool
What about raw brownies?
Cocoa powder and equal parts walnuts and dates. Put it in a food processor until it's crumbly enough to squish together and hold. Put it in a brownie pan and squish down. Cut, chill and serve.
