I guess Paleo is going more main stream. It's now on our local news, with the channels Medical consultant going on a Paleo diet and dropping 30 pounds herself.

    Thought it was interesting.

    My only issue?

"University of California at San Francisco researchers are showing how a modern-day Paleo diet works just as well as statin drugs when it comes to dropping cholesterol levels."

First, statins don't really do women any favors anyway. And as women, do we even want this? I just posted a study I read showing that lower cholesterol in women led to higher mortality rate. For men, it's more of a U-shaped curve with a sweet spot in the middle, but for women, it's a pretty straight line where high cholesterol = living longer.

Is the use of cholesterol in mortality risk algorithms in clinical guidelines valid? Ten years prospective data from the Norwegian HUNT 2 study

Who says back fat is a bad thing? Maybe on a hairy guy at the beach, but not on a crab.
