I am no longer restricting my fruit and vegetable intake (for the time being), as I noticed being too strict has triggered binges in the past. Now that I have finally started to get binging under control, my focus is now healthy eating(within the primal blueprint), so lots of berries, veggies, cocnut oil and meat. So far the new year is off to a good start, now if I could only remember to write in my journal everyday!

I feel better, I am not going to stress out over taking my weight or measurements daily (that can drive a person crazy), but take them 2-3 times a month. The binge eating patterns could return if I am not careful, so my main focus now is avoiding a relapse, in another month or so, I will see how things are going and then enter a ketosis level (40 g of carbohydrate or fewer). Right now 1700-2200 cal and 100 or fewer carbohydrates is working for me.

My day was my usual eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch, protein for dinner. I think my body is finally starting to recover from the effects of binging, and at the risk of TMI my period was cramp free, and I decided to have a scoop(around a quarter cup) of coconut milk green tea ice cream, again no cramps bloating(I think my body likes it more than regular ice cream). I cheated and had a clif bar today as a snack(I know, I should not have bought it), and my body suddenly reverted back to it's usual hot bloated mess that it usually is during that time of the month. If there is any time to be primal it would be during my period(no cramps, mood swings, or bloat).

Yay another post! I am trying to journal more often becaus eit is a great way to track progress. Last thursday was my 21st birthday, I did not binge on anything, For breakfas I had a big greek salad with no cheese(I made it myself). and snacked on almonds, for dinner I had a 4oz burger(from a local restaurant) small order of fries, a cupcake, and a shot of vodka. Other than that my last few days have been paleo/primal. I am cutting back on nuts and I am not consuming any high sugar fruits, so berries and the occasional apple for now. Walking aroung campus and carrying 15-20lbs worth of textbooks has helped me incorporate moving slowly and lifting heavy things.

I had a binge eating relapse over the weekend, fast food(schlotzkys and all), chips, rice and grains galore, not to mention ice cream and cake. I have gotten back on track though, and it appears I am retaining a ton of water from this relapse. my scale was re calibrated and read 168.8lbs, so I was 10-12lbs off all along(bummer) I noticed a pattern, and that pattern is 90% of my binges happen at my parents house. They never cook, so frozen pizzas hotdogs and wendys are staples in their household. Plus the stress of having two teenage sisters that are picky beyind belief, and parents who think any weight loss is anorexia, and believe the only real meal is paula deen inspired binges. Well anyway I am now somewhere between paleo and primal. I plan on taking before and after pictures, my motivation is up and I really want to lose weight, and feel better.

Well, it's been a month, I have not been primal, but I have finally stopped bingeing. I just started primal again yesterday(spring/summer clothing is my motivation). I have been sick on and off for the last few weeks, and I must say primal is really helping my cold heal. I have not had to take a ton of medicine either. My energy levels were shot, but after a day primal I feel a lot better/a little more energetic. Funny thing to note is that over the weekend I had a sore throat, one day I was lower sugar and glueten free(but not grain free), I felt better the next moring, the next day I was high sugar, and felt like crap the morning after.
