Apocalypto annoyed me. The natives had horrid teeth and the one dude in the opening scene gagged on the testicles and they all went for the lean meat. Not accurate!

    But who am I kidding...

Though I did enjoy how the birthing mother wasn't portrayed as this screaming terrified sweating woman lying on her back. Water birth!

    +1. And Rome, the TV-series.

Encino Man? Just kidding... that was awful!

Not really a "primal movie", but I love the documentary Fat Head.

And, have you seen the recent Discovery channel special I, Caveman? That was awesome! Definitely primal!

Game of Thrones - not a movie but they are always eating meat of some sort. And the scene where Dani has to eat the raw horse heart to be accepted into the tribe is something else. As primal as one can get.

I agree, that was a very primal moment.

Rome did invade and occupy all of North Africa so that it could send a reliable stream of wheat and corn to welfare-feed their teeming labor and slave classes...It also went around the world stealing everyone's food to organize the leftover starving rabble into imperial protectorates. It systematically annihilated tribal cultures from the Atlantic ocean to the Arabian sea to the Caspian sea.

you should check out Instinct, with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. Way badass. Also Quest for Fire. Maybe Last of the Dog men for the Indian series.
Yes...you took the words out of my mouth. I'll check out Instinct. That sounds really good. Quest of Fire and Geronimo are also on the list.

    Bad Day at Black Rock

A good movie anyway but primal for nothing else but the scene where a one-armed Spencer Tracy faces down a roomful of goons by himself and flips Ernest Borgnine over onto his back. Excellent use of body weight and leverage.
