Expensive, but Merrell recently came out with barefoot waterproof snow boots, they're called Frost Glove. They kinda look like moon boots to me, but if you live somewhere that snow is a fact of life, they could be handy.

Are those the bormios? If so, I have a pair (mentioned earlier). I used nikwax on them and they worked great in the snow & rain.

*sigh* if only they made Bormios in "small people" sizes (also known as women's - the smaller sizes)... I bought SO a pair and he loves 'em.

I've wanted a pair of Bormios since they came out with them. I even called the up to see if they would do a special order for me on it. No go.

    Hi,

They are not bormios, they are called carezza and start at size 35. Very expensive, but I just wanted not to suffer foot/toe pain every day. And I just saw that they are coming out with a new winter model type of vibrams end of october.Lontra and speed XC

Apparently not offered to the US. Hrmph.
The Lontra has a frou frou color scheme that doesn't work for work, and the speed looks like a tennis shoe, not really my style. I'll sstick with my mocs and hope they work.

I'm going to order a set of the full grain leather Nike sfb. They are built on Nike's minimalist shoe technology and I can get away with boots like that at work. Treated with nikwax and wearing merino socks, I should be good to go for winter.

The green lontras are awesome. I sort of wish I could get a pair to go with my Hulk costume for Halloween. (the green spydies too!)
