Great fruit snack
I'm reliving my hippie farm days! We got out the old food dehydrator (no longer remember the brand, it's 30 years old!) and peeled and thin-sliced apples from our CSA and the farmer's market. Dusted them with cinnamon and cumin (yep, or turmeric!), stirred well, and dried them for a day. SERIOUSLY good, easy, and they don't take much space.
Eat them as is or reconstitute for pre-spiced applesauce. No need for sweetener!
I know this is hardly a "recipe," but it was too good not to share.
