    approx. how much fat do you take in a day?

    I'm just curious how much fat you guys normally consume in a day (approximately)? I was looking over my mom's food log that I made her write and she gets about 15-20g a day in fat (she has numerous minor health problems).

    I don't personally set a limit, just try to get a good amount of it in

    I use a food log on my Android called Mynetdiary. It is very simple and helps me keep track.

    This last week I have been averaging:

    156g Fat
    4g Trans Fat
    48g Sat. Fat

    Most of the days that I actually tracked show about 90-100g a day. I don't have a breakdown but my fats come from meat, eggs, butter, dairy, & avocados.

    Easily 80-100. Easily half is saturated.

    As for health, its only greatly improved since doing this from Jan 2011.

    I don't track, but 1-3k cals worth probably.

    I'm not sure- probably around 100g, I think it ends up working to about 65% of my calories.

    I average anywhere from 70 to 120grams. Usually about 65% of my calories.

    Start of Leptin Reset end of Aug/2011: 202.4
    current weight: 199.6

    150-160 grams, mostly saturated.

    When I eat out (rarely), I try to account for the worst possible choices. So, for example, if I have In-n-Out burgers, I assume that the cheese they use is the nastiest most artificial cheese out there.

    Thus, the cheese I typically account for has Trans. Fat.
    Also, I slipped up and ate a few "All-Beef" franks that I didn't notice had Trans. Fat until they had been consumed.
