I just saw this in the store the other day and wasn't sure if this was ok? Has anyone ever tried this?

Depends if you're ok with beans.

It depends on how you feel about potatoes and beans. It's not Primal. I have read on Gluten-free boards that most people think this particular brand tastes beany.

Let us know what you're planning to use it for, and we may be able to provide some ideas for primal substitutes.

so i've tried a couple recipes with coconut flour, makes it really heavy.

2 C substitute flour (unsweetened coconut flour)
1 C coconut milk or unsweetened almond milk
    1 1/2 T baking powder
    1 tsp himalayan salt
    1/4 C butter ( not melted)

    These ones were like bricks.

Also, used this recipe with almond meal.

They didn't rise up at all. They came out flat like cookies.

I wanna make a primal biscuit to use as a substitute for primal stuffing at thanksgiving. Also looking for something to use to make a pizza crust. Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe try mixing coconut flour and almond flour (not meal--flour)? I am not much of a baker, but I bet someone who knows better will be here to give you some ideas by the end of the day. Or, by Thanksgiving at least...

    Good luck!

I get mine at Sprouts. I don't know if you have those in CA? Any place that has Coconut flour will usually have Almond flour in the same area.

Most people order almond flour in 5 to 25 lb bags from Amazon.com, due to its non-mealy texture and is more like regular flour. Personally, I like "bricks" so a dense biscuit/muffin/bread is okay with me. Try the almond flour, I have friends who rave about its superiority to almond meal flour.
