I've got it on Kindle too, and it doesn't feel like I missed anything. Actually, I like that I have it on Kindle because I would use the Text To Speech and listen to it while I was putting on my makeup or messing around in the kitchen.

I am a notoriously cheap bastard but I also believe there is a circle in hell reserved for those that steal intellectual property. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Buy the book you cheap prick. (For posting the link. May a thousand worms infest your computing device)

Wheat is the new tobacco. Spread the word.
I got the link from one of Mark's articles he posted. So you can thank Mark himself for being classy, not me.
Oh please. The link was available from a page that Mark himself linked to. You are essentially calling Mark a prick for linking it himself...
Has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, Mark wants as many people to read his book as possible and that he is okay with the link?
There is nothing wrong with posting that link. If it is there without Mark's permission, then now Mark is aware of it.
Edit: And I did buy the book, as I stated above, I gave it away to a local pharmacist.

Right now, I can't afford it. There are MANY books I want to buy. So I've requested it from my library. They've bought the other books I've requested, so now I'm impatiently waiting for this to come in.
*crosses fingers and checks email yet again to see if it's in*
Love this thread. And for those that can't afford it (etc), at least read the PB 101, before posting on the forums. Please!![]()

I bought the book for my one-year primal-versary (I read almost every article, and a ton of threads in the forums, before my official start). Admittedly, I have not made it through much of the book yet, but it's a little... disconcerting? to be reading 'it's all about the insulin' when I'm now aware of all these other theories in the paleo-sphere about food reward theory, excess PUFA, anti-Taubes, etc.
Thanks for the replies on the e-book version! If books seem like they might have specially formatted content or graphs (which a lot of nutrition books do) I almost always regret it when I don't get the paper version. I'll probably download it this weekend, I've only got two more chapters of Good Calories Bad Calories and I'm not ready to switch back to my trashy romance novels yet.
Edit: And by "download" I mean PURCHASE THE EBOOK FROM AMAZON. :P

Yeah, that's another reason I hesitated on reading it. From what I understand the specific insulin mechanics promoted by Taubes have since been refuted by newer research.
Doesn't mean there's not good info to be had, though. Take out Taubes insulin theory and his book would still be phenomenal.
