I made this last night and the family loved it.

Two racks of baby back ribs

Asian Spice Rub
2.5 Tbsp Paprika
2 Tbsp Salt
2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Pepper
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 Tbsp Thyme
1 Tbsp Chinese Five Spice Powder
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to your liking for spiciness)

Rub the dry rub in the ribs.

Cook ribs in slow cooker on low for three to four hours. You can longer, and I did, but I think they would have been better if cooked less.

Asian BBQ Sauce
I started with the ketchup recipe from the Primal Blueprint Cookbook. I then used the BBQ sauce recipe from the same book with some adjustments. Here are the adjustments:

2 tsp onion powder and 1 tsp ginger instead of 3 tsp onion powder (might do all ginger next time)
2 Tbsp mirin instead of 2 Tbsp orange juice
2 Tbsp tamari instead of 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp umeboshi plum vinegar instead of 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

My wife said this was the best BBQ sauce she ever tasted.

I also made an Asian cole slaw with dressing that had almond butter, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, tamari, ginger, garlic, (can't remember what else at the moment). Next time I'll add some coconut milk so it is creamier.
