What You See Vs. What They See

25 Things To Do With Your Books When You Get A Kindle
stop cutting and tearing their poor pages!

i'm trying to declutter. i'm tired of it, i want zen fung shwayedness. but there's so many places to start i want to give up already. i got rid of a pile of magazines, then saw how much more i wanted to do then just gave up a while and loved on the dogs and laid my sore ass back on the floor.

the dogs made several walk by passes to lick a hello, bear licked my forehead

thanks buddy, i needed that. that's another reason i love you fuzzbutts.

    The books... Ikr!
    NOOO cutting!
I donated the better ones I de-cluttered to the local library, and others that weren't in such good shape to a local charity thrift store that funds an an animal rescue and shelter.
About 300 in all... so far! I have more that need to go...

Other de-cluttering... *sigh* I have a messy office room that has stuff collected in it from previous hobbies that I'm no longer interested in. I've decided to clear out a good deal of this via ebay this summer... probably just so I can organize the remainder (aka have my 'private' office back... as it's also currently the fishing/kayak gear storage space) and spend some money on better/more current hobbie stuff. LOL
    Still... hopefully overall LESS stuff.

I've had to let go of some large personal pieces in the past.
For me it was the attached memory that was special, not the thing itself.
So I took pics, added in old pics if I had access to any, and made a 'book' where I wrote down the associated memories.
I don't have a paper copy... I keep the file on an external drive thingy... I can add to and edit the memory story as much as necessary (like when I remember a specific time sitting at the table watching TV with gramma or something)... and it's always there for me to read. At first the story's for each picture were short, but they grew as I occasionally was reminded of things and added them.

It's kind of nice... and freeing as well. You still have all the good things about the 'thing', without any of the stress.
    *hugs*

i have some anxiety to deal with before i can do things. but i was super brave when i donated books to the library

i loaded them up in a big bag and left em outside the library door at night when it was closed
