I think you need more food lol! You should try an egg with breakfast instead if I scramble two eggs with tons of veggies I have plenty of energy, include colorful veggies if you can ( bell peppers red, green, tomatoes, onions, spinach, you name it), if you are short on time try making a frittata the night before. Have you gotten a chance to get the primal cookbooks, if not I highly suggest this. The Quick and Easy Meals is one of my favorites makes meals fast and primal. You can also try to do some coffee ( in moderation maybe a cup with breakfast on days you feel fatigued even after waking- I would pay attention to the way you feel within the first 10 minutes of waking up) I started out with learning which foods gave me the energy I needed. I also eat pretty large salads ( big ass salads Mark style!) Also have a snack like a banana or an apple with almond butter.

I hope this helps I struggle with chronic fatigue on a daily basis and have found that primal is the only way to even have a bit more of energy-

you mentioned carbs and not getting them start eating turnips, parsnips, any root vegetable besides potatoes! Have a yam at lunch time with a salad and some meat. good luck

More food?! You must be crazy!

Looking at the calorie content, yeah, I think I do. I'm having some issues with getting my family on board, and then the budget isn't doing too hot. But, I'm trying. I just bought some coconut oil, so I think I'm going to put some coconut oil in where I can. That should be good! I also boiled some eggs and will be eating those too. Maybe I could double up on the coconut milk. Hopefully that will give me more fat. I should incorporate in more veggies too! I have a couple zucchini and broccoli that could be stir fried. I think I'll stir fry some...tomorrow, lol.

Oh! I forgot to post this:

    Typical workout
    -failing at pushups
    -failing at burpees
    -failing at jump squats
-dickin around with heavy dumb bells
-taking the dog for a walk
    -dancing!
(legitimate dancing, honing ballet and contemporary technique)

I would like to add that I suffer from severe acne. The first time I tried primal, I suffered a terrible breakout. I'm trying to give pork, beef and chicken a try (lamb is fine too...and nasty stuff like offal); however, salmon? I'm staying away from it. The omega-3 content, while it seems highly contradictory, can aggravate acne symptoms in some. I'm just waiting it out until I add salmon back in again. I didn't think it would be a problem. In fact, I thought it would help. However, something broke me out out last time. I just have to figure out what.

What face products do you use? ( licensed cosmetologist- I specialized in skin care and nails) Also are you buying organic meats? That makes all the difference- for saving money I simply buy whatever veggies and fruits I want organic or not. The meat is where I get picky- also about 85% of my basket when shopping is nothing but veggies/fruit. You should have fish once a week at least maybe try that to start incorporating it into the diet. I love lamb it is delicious! trying to think about how I eat on a daily basis.

breakfast: I usually have 1 to 2 eggs depending sometimes I place the egg over a small salad or I make a fresh salsa and top scrambled eggs with that. I drink almond milk

snack: I usually shoot for a 1/3 cup of nuts with some dried cranberries or I have an apple or banana with almond butter

lunch: I tend to eat light at lunch- I hit up a salad with lots of veggies and maybe fruit ( blueberries rock in salads!) or I make a tuna or chicken salad with mayo ( I don't use much 2 tbsp), celery, onions, scallions, dried cranberries, shredded carrots and place it over romaine lettuce leaves you can also bake up some turnip fries ( they are tasty) if you have time for such things.

Dinner: meat with veggies. I like to make chicken with steamed broccoli, asparagus, etc or stuff a bell pepper with buffalo meat with tons of veggies inside.

I do not know how many calories I eat in a days time but so far on diet alone I lost ten pounds in a month eating primal and eating a good amount of food daily.

You're a licensed cosmetologist? That's very cool! I want to get into research and maybe practice dermatology. I want to help people that have dealt with this problem like I have.

I've used so many different topicals, but I'm currently using oatmeal to cleanse. It's very soft and while I used to be not into manual exfoliation, the natural saponin soap-like components to oatmeal really cleanse the skin and it makes it soft. I have had such better skin since switching off cleansers without sulfates and surfactants. I also have a sulfur mask made with aloe vera, that I apply and rinse off like a cleanser after the oatmeal sometimes too. I make my own blend of light carrier oil (watermelon seed oil) and essential oil blend (orange, lemon, peppermint, grapefruit and seabuckthorn seed Co2 extract) to moisturize. I don't really trust heavy moisturizers, and ever since stopping moisturizing in the traditional sense, I have far less flesh bumps. Besides that, then I have this mask I JUST started using (Concha Nacar de Perlop) and I really am liking it. I have an 8% salicylic acid solution I also apply once a week, and leave on for about 30ish seconds. It helps encourage my skin to exfoliate, definitely. I don't wear makeup--if I do, I have a custom organic mineral blend and BB cream (maybe once every couple months, when I get stuck in a situation where I don't want to deal with the acne and people, I'll slap on the makeup).

So, I basically try to exploit the keratolytic properties of sulfur and salicylic acid, while trying to stay as gentle as possible with oatmeal cleansing and light oil-based moisturizer. That's it FOR NOW. Lol. I haven't changed in a while, but I used to change all the time! I used to be addicted to Garden of Wisdom. Have you heard of them? I've messed around with tons of things.

Basically, I have a lot of confidence in my skincare routine...but, I still break out, and have been since I was 9 years old. Nothing's ever helped. Hence, why I'm here! There has to be something in my diet I can change, I think. I suffer from a severe inflammatory response to comedones (pustular/papular acne), so I'm hoping this anti-inflammatory diet will help.

Hey guys! So I had a math test today at 7am. Fearing "brain fog" from low carb and maybe a little less sleep than I should have (okay okay, I pulled an all-nighter), I ate a couple bananas, chugged coffee and swigged some L-carnitine to hopefully boost my brain. It worked! I felt great despite not having slept. Great = can think clearly. Of course, I would never keep that up.

However, I came home and remembered the taste of that banana. Mmmmm. So I ate another one. Flash forward a couple hours later: now, I'm super bloated and my stomach hurts. This is another point in the no-fructose team. I already know I react badly to table sugar, sucrose, meaning I probably just react to the fructose component of table sugar. So I'm betting fructose in fruit also gets me too. I'll completely eliminate fructose for a while, and, reintroduce it later.

Ultimately, I'd like to know, what should I expect after losing weight in terms of my skin and my stretch marks, and how should I should time the weight loss to optimize tightening of the skin?
Yeah, I have these too from puberty. I grew at least five inches in one summer, and my hips definitely have the marks to prove it. I'm 44 and I still have the marks --- they've faded and aren't all that visible anymore ... but they are still there.

Have you lost elasticity in your skin? based on my experience, absolutely not. certainly not at 19. I've had no experience in the past 25 years that would imply that my skin has lost it's elasticity. None. Your body simply could not make skin fast enough for your growth spurts and those marks are little scars where your skin stretched. It was your body's short term solution to a problem (fast growth) - not a long term reality for your skin.

My advise is to keep the stretch marks out of the sun. Cover up, wear lots of sunscreen. My experience is scars can be more visible and longer lasting with sun exposure.

Try to see them as honor marks and try to love them a bit. You wouldn't have them if you had not grown so tall. And tall is good.

Sounds like you are doing quite well with the skin care regimen. I always favored benzoyl peroxide over salicylic acid but it may be personal preference. I use the bp just on the pustules- it's good to get oxygen in there to help with the bacteria. That would be awesome if you decided to help others with skin issues

Thanks! I've tried benzoyl peroxide throughout the years, but it hasn't really helped me much. I tend to benefit from more exfoliation than anti-bacterial products. I'm actually already seeing improvements in my skin, unbelievably. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions, but I really hope this continues!

Also, thank you so much for taking the time to post!
