I'm at the cafe and they have a sign up- Chocolate is a vegetable . . . it comes from beans. First of all, beans aren't veggies. Second of all- that makes it a legume! Nooooooooo! Thank goodness for the 80/20. Which means that one out of five meals could be chocolate. This works for me.
Well, coffee and chocolate both come from beans. Neither is a vegetable. They are both a way of life.
Chocolate comes from the seed of a fruit of a tree... not a legume at all. They call it a bean for the same reason they call coffee beans "beans", because they are bean shaped things.
Chocolate is a fatty seed. It's primal.
It's the sugar that they add to it to make it tasty that gets folks in trouble with eating lots of it...
