How do you think deep squatting with heavy weight will affect a person's hoops game?

I haven't stepped on the court since 2010, and I've spent a good part of 2011 increasing my strength with a big focus on increasing my squat strength.

I'm giddy with anticipation for the upcoming rec league hoops season and, although I will soon answer my own question with direct experience, I am wondering if anyone can chime in in the meanwhile.
