    Coconut flour roux?

    Shop Now
Has anyone tried to make a roux using coconut flour instead of wheat flour? Any luck?

Any other ideas for what might work for this? I'm trying to figure out what can be used as a good thickener.

You can make a decent roux with almond flour, coconut flour does not work in the slightest.

I worked in a cajun restaurant for 6 years, I know my roux!

    Ladycarnivore,
Do you have any recipes you can share or point me to? I'm new to Primal and would love to make my homemade Red Chili sauce without the wheat flour! (And lots of other sauces too!)

Thanks for the tip Rivvin. I took a cajun cooking class when I was in New Orleans and since eating Primal haven't made a roux. Now I can cook again.
