    Primal Fuel

    The health food co-op where I work sells a 4000 IU/100 count for like $10. Nature's Life is the brand.

    They also have a 5000 IU they got recently, but I am not sure it is more cost effective.

    Honestly, if there were comparable levels in the Master Formula I might consider shelling that much out for it.

    Needs K2 as well.

    This is a long but thought provoking article on VitD.

    I used to take 5000IU/day but I'm having severe winter blues, so upped it to 10000 IU. When I tested, my seum Vit D level was 30.

    I have celiac and so have problems with absorbing many vitamins and minerals..after testing my Dr put me on 50,000 units/once a week for 2 months, in addition to 2000 units, once a day.

    Id be cautios about just prescribing yourself more without a test.

    @KXS

    You might be better off using liquid Vitamin D3 supplements. Mix it to food, and it has a much higher chance of getting absorbed.
