Yesterday, I was headed for our Saturday evening church service, and hungry enough that I didn't want to wait an hour and a half to eat. I stopped by the local Albertsons grocery store for a package of pre-cooked bacon. It was on sale for $3 for a couple or so ounces, cheaper than beef jerky, and lots less chemicals. :-)

I happened to notice, in the same section, packages of peeled hard-boiled eggs. There were 6 medium eggs, "high in Omega 3," for about a dollar more than I pay for a dozen large eggs, around $3.50.

So, next time I forget my lunch, or have to work past suppertime, I know where I'm picking up some cheap, ready-to-eat protein!
