Enjoy Saturated Fats, They’re Good for You!

Stumbled upon this article. It's long but has alot of information and history about fat.
It also has Marks Carbohydrate Curve!

Great article. Saw it the other day and thought about posting it but got distracted and and ended up forgetting.

There's also a podcast with Dr. Miller on the same site, but it goes over much the same ground as the article.

That's great. I remember early into paleo/primal learning what "saturated" really meant when it came to fats, and I thought "that's it? that's what all the fuss is about?" In the dark for so long, goodness. And heyyyyyy from SLC too.

+1. Too many doctors are trapped by their training and the profession's "Standards of Practice" to really question why their patients are sick and what to do about it. Mostly, it's "What drug with horrible side effects should I prescribe to alleviate these symptoms?" Never "What can I do to improve the patient's health?"

    100% Agreed

A friend/mentor of mine told me about Dr/Medicine men in ancient China, in that they were paid by everyone in the village until someone became sick, then they weren't paid.

That sounds like a good model, lol.

Pork (and poultry) have more PUFA's than saturated fat. If you want to add in saturated fat, go with beef tallow or butter/ghee.
