A 56-year old running sprints, you say? Bahahahahaha!!

So what's a guy to do? If you've read my story, you know I am a 6-year quad bypass survivor who has slipped back into a sedentary lifestyle, sitting behind my desk, editing wedding and portrait photos (almost) all day long.

Three weeks ago, I purchased TPB and am sold. Who knew I could eat steak, eggs, and cheese again?!?!? My doctor sure didn't know it ... or if he did, he was keeping it to his 300-pound self!

But, let's face facts ... I can no longer sprint, at least not yet. So today, I did the next best thing. Behold my new Fuji Crosstown 1.0 masterpiece! I'm in love already. Let the sprints commence!! (Oh, and the 55-75% joyrides, too! LOL!) Hell, maybe this time next year, I can indeed be running sprints! Haven't done that since high school .. when Nixon was still President!

Yes, but he has been an athlete all his life ... I am just a mere mortal who has ingested more carbs, grains, Big Macs, and Whoppers than I care to remember. I'm just getting started. :-)

I like that. Welcome to the tribe indeed!

Thanks, Tumbleweed! Excited about where I will be a year from now. It's just not enough to chase young brides around for 8 hours on a weekend. :-)
