Hey Mark!

First off, I am a HUGE fan of your blog, and I love reading all of your interesting articles!
I started crossfit in may, and was quickly introduced to paleo. Wanting to excel at crossfit, I quickly took to the new way of eating. However, I don't think my results are as dramatic, I feel good, but not great! I've leaned out, but haven't really lost much weight. But one thing that upsets me, is that my skin didn't really clear up much, and my bowels are often irregular.
I'm just wondering if maybe I'm missing something, or doing somethign wrong.

But my question! I heard today about eating for your blood type, and was wondering what your thoughts were on the matter. Also I noticed in the book that Dr. D'Adamo put avacado and coconut products in the negative section for all blood types, which I found interesting and slightly dishearting since they have become staples in my diet.

Just seeking some awesome advice

You can also search the site. Some people here are into the blood type diet. But most don't think it's valid. I'm pretty sure that's how Mark feels.

It has been pretty thoroughly dismissed. The science of which blood type was the basis of all the others wasn't even correct, and I believe that's what the whole theory was based on.

Robb Wolf just went off on this in one of his recent podcasts. The bloodtype diet is pure malarkey. It just so happens that this malarkey also happens to work for a lot of people, since type O is the most common blood type and it recommends something not too far removed from a paleo style diet. (That was my take on what he said, I've not looked into the diet myself)

well, I follow the blood type diet and whether its malarkey or just works for me (type O)...its not really contingent on which blood type came first...its more like the blood type that did really well on major animal food was O. So, for every diet, there's someone who just doesn't do well on it, and that includes primal/paleo...and those folks might just be type A's....who do well as vegetarians or close to....
I'm not really on a bandwagon about it, its just been great for me. As has primal eating.
