what is a good natural face moisturiser?

    Primal Fuel
    Hey guys,

I have been advised to "not put anything on my skin that i wouldn't put in my mouth", because of absorption of chemicals through the skin etc.

So i wonder - does anyone have any natural moisturising techniques or products they'd care to share with me? I have tried coconut oil and other oils - they work but are very greasy and terrible for a make-up base (yes i know what your thinking ... ).

i am looking mainly for something to use on my face, but any ideas welcome

I've been using this, Radical Resurfacing Facial Lotion which I like a lot. Absorbs quickly, doesn't clog pores, fresh smell, not perfumey. Not so sure how well it works on uneven skin tone, But at this price for a good moisturizer I don't care too much.

For years I have used good ol EVOO. I use about a teaspoon of olive oil mixed with a teaspoon of sugar (the only reason to keep sugar in the house!). Put it on right before you get in the shower, the sugar helps to exfoliate. Rinse well with warm water. I do this about 1x per week or whenever my skin starts looking blah. I used to have very oily skin, so this seems like it would make it worse, but it just leaves if feeling so soft!

If you use coconut or avocado oil at night, your skin won't be greasy by morning. Another good natural non-greasy oil for skin care: jojoba. Makes skin less oily, too.

My dermatologist recommended that I use anti-oxidant vitamins in the morning, so I use vitamin E oil from a dropper bottle. The ones she said to try were E, C and the B's. I keep forgetting to pick up some C, plan to mix it with the E. I already had the E oil at home.

I just switched from Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer (20$ a bottle that lasted maybe 3-4 months) to Virgin Coconut Oil which at the rate I'm going will cost me 8$ and last a few years

So far what I have noticed:
-fewer breakouts on my face - in the 3-4 months I've been using it I have had... 2 small little zits
-it has helped with those bumps that you get sometimes on the back of your arms - cleared those right up

Straight aloe vera gel in the summer and aloe vera/ olive oil mixture the rest of the year.

I secong the jojoba oil. I use it as a moisturizer, massage oil, and hair conditioner. I love the stuff.
