I can't imagine silicone being very comfortable once one started to sweat, even with air holes in the ends of the toes. The idea of slimy, sweaty feet in silicone foot gloves is pretty icky. Maybe for water sports, but I don't think I'd ever wear them to the gym or even for a walk on a hot day.
