you work too hard
I'll be Amarillo, sigh.
you work too hard
oh poo Ruth. I agree you work to hard. Oh, oh dear.. was that a cough dear Ruth?? You look a bit flushed. I really think you need to stay in bed with a cup of hot tea and a book. What do you think Chris?
I love you guys. Don't tell, but I quit at 2 and took a 2 hour nap...
good girl, Yes I think a nap or sick day was definitely in order.
So DD did not wake up in time to do the 1/2 marathon this morning. So she was ticked. I didn't wake her because by the time I was awake she couldn't have made it anyway. I don't think they had a packet pick-up this morning either, so she would not have had a bib with number or a chip. She said she could have run it anyway, well yes, and she still could. She was a bit snippy. So I think I will wait to take her for her flu shot till the Thanksgiving break. She ended up going to the conference with her friends instead.
We made pizza last night, we had 8 individual sized ones, the equivalent of 3 are leftover in the fridge for DH to nibble on today and tomorrow. So essentially I ate one of them. The puffiness in my fingers today tells the tale. I didn't get to weigh because of the commotion this morning.
the house is quiet now, not sure what I will do today. I really need to get my grass seed down. To do that I need to get the leaves off the lawn. That is what I should do...fine, off I go.
well, good thing you waited on getting her a flu shot. I got mine last night and DD's and all she did was whine and complain. I tell you, there was no peace until she went to bed.
hopefully today is as nice there as it is here for you to put the grass seed down.
Yep, my kids are definite whiners when it comes to the flu shot. Costco has them for $15 so I will just take both of them at Thanksgiving and let them whine in harmony.
I got what leaves have fallen off the lawn, and I got the lawn mowed. Now to put down the seed and fertilizer. I have solo many weeds in the lawn though I think I will have to go get more grass seed to get a heavier coat of it down.
It is cool and overcast here, good yard work weather. I am in for a drink break, and will go out in a few minutes.
Yard done, Vandy is winning, fireplace is toasty...it is a good afternoon
