rats, that is over a 5 hour drive. We will be in meetings and sessions and classes the whole time we are there except for a couple of hours on Thursday. We are just going to have to plan to have you use up some frequent flier miles to come to TN.

Yes. Actually, yesterday, DH said "now you need to plan a trip to TN to see your other friend" after I told him how close we'll be to Paula in May

I figured you were going to be pretty busy. It's a quick flight, but I couldn't get there until Fri night. But, it'll be more fun if I come to TN, where you don't have to be juggling things.

We will definitely plan a trip for you to visit. I don't want to have to split my attentions, so I will figure out the family schedule and let you know, I just think we would have much more fun if I could show you around town and we could visit uninterrupted.

ok, so today's food is planned and I went to the grocery so I actually have the stuff I need.

It is cold but sunny out so I absolutely have to cut back the ornamental grasses and prune some of the bushes away from the house and a/c units. I heard we might get snow flurries this week, in March! What the Heck?

I am going to have to cut down our holly (or have it done). It is heart breaking because it is lovely, but WAY too large for the location (builder planted it) it is getting misshapen from the constant pruning and it is a leg up for the squirrels. DH is concerned about the damage they will do to our roof.

Can the holly be cut back and then transplanted elsewhere in the yard?

I think it is too big to transplant, the roots have spread too wide. I transplanted the same kind of holly from the other side of the house a few years ago and it never got over it, finally just died. It was about 5' tall when I did the transplant and it literally took me 8 hours to dig out the roots. Then hours to dig the new hole for it (our home is built on bedrock, so once you get to about 15" you are chiseling). This one is at least 17' tall now, and it is not really healthy, it is kind of getting bare. I have not pruned it for a little over a year hoping it would come back and maybe I could get the church to come get it, but the landscaper didn't think it would survive.
