    Yeah. I know my chuck roasts and such are fairly lean when then come from grassfed/finished. I have no clue about the rest of the animal.

    Karin, yep, pretty much what I have planned for this past week but adding fat if I need it instead of nuts. Gotta stay out of the nuts!

    today I had 2 BP matcha teas this morning, and this afternoon I am going to add a pat of butter to my broth. In addition to my normal meals. I already posted in MFP except for dinner.

    I dunno about the fat, probably animals in the North had more fat, or maybe in winter? That is what I am wondering. If you took the entire edible parts of the animal, what is the fat to protein ratio.

    DS is a chef & has done a butchery course. He says he would consider a top piece of meat to be 2:1 fat to protein. Not sure wild game would have this sort of ratio though. I guess it would depend on the season

    Ugh. I fell into the stupid nuts today making some for DH. Good news? With this batch, they are pretty much done. We have almonds, but those don't call my name. DH bought me some mac nuts. I know this is weird, but as long as that package remains sealed, I won't get into them. So, sealed those stay. And, they are in the back of my freezer. I don't notice them there.

    I am like that with just about everything, if it isn't open I don't bother it. That is why I like to do recipes that require an entire package of things like that.

    2:1 sounds good to me. Add a pat of herbed butter and we are good to go!

    yeah, I just answered in P's journal-there is a place up in the blue bar on your home page that says "check in" and once there you can add anything you want to track, I think the button for that may be at the bottom of the list. Called "track additional measurements" I think
