I really hate to admit that, especially since my dad was a defensive lineman and thus the sworn enemy of cute quarterbacks, but there it is.

When we were in high school my sis and I started to get into watching football, for several reasons...at the time (30 years ago) girls did not do that.... the guys who watched football were much cuter than the girls who watched chic flicks...the guys who played football were much cuter than the girls who were in the chic flicks!

My DH doesn't watch sports at all. In fact, I was explaining the basics of the game to him last night It's a pretty good gig - we are never stuck at home because some big sports game is on. He does enjoy cartoons, but we don't have cable, and he can watch his netflicks at any time

My DH never watched sports except live but he was recently appointed to some athletic committee on campus so he needs to get up to speed at least on SEC sports. . Crazy when i lived at home my dad used to spend all day Sunday after church watching football.

I learned to watch football back in my teens because BF (now hubby) played on his school team. Cute defensive end (also the sworn enemy of cute quarterbacks). I learned that it was his job to be very fast (he was a provincial level sprinter back then) and run around the line of scrimmage to attempt to "sack" the quarterback, so I watched every play with the only intention to be sure that number 71 got up again after every sack attempt.

Now I just let hubby hang out in the basement with the TV on weekend afternoons. He tends to fall asleep at some point - loves to nap on the weekends.

Last night, actually I cooked a huge roast and we had another couple over for a dinner party with too much red wine. So hubby only saw the last half hour or so of the Superbowl, and that was fine with him. He's definitely mellowing with age!

Yep, my hubby always falls asleep in front of the tv, no matter what is on. Actually my dad probably does now, he has likely not seen the second half of a football game he wasn't attending for years! But he has moved on, he coaches 5th through 8th graders basketball.

So yesterday was a successful day. I ran a ton of errands, although there were a few things I didn't get done, I got most of what I wanted to accomplish done. (hey Ruth, Costco had a Vitamix for $379, it is the 5200 with the 64oz container, and without the grain container, I will likely pick it up on Friday, gonna be hard to pass up that price as it is $50 less than anything else I have seen) I ended up with 8,600 steps and that is without the treadmill.

Eating went very well, much easier when the house is full of groceries. I found the 5htp, so I took one last night. I will try to remember to take it with dinner today and see if that makes a difference. I took it after dinner last night, which was late anyway, so it was almost 8:30 when I took it, not sure if it affected my sleep, but I do remember a couple of crazy dreams. My sleep for last night was a 91% efficiency, I was in bed for 8:15, and slept 7:25. My stretches of uninterrupted sleep were not as long as the night before, but still pretty good.

    STATS:
    Calories 1625 (1700)
    Carbs 29g (30g)
    Net Carbs 20g (20g)
    Fat 147g (140g)
    Protein 59g (70g)

So, I have to work this out in my head...I am going on a girls' retreat with my 2 BFF's on Friday night. Dinner is wine and cheese. I am thinking that I will keep my carbs to zero or as close as possible all day to compensate for the wine. We are renting a cabin, so I can take whatever I want, so it is not going to be a problem other than that. Wondering if that will create a need to start over again on Saturday? anyone know if alcohol has a negative effect besides its carbs (and likelihood of increased eating-which won't happen cause, well we will be in a cabin in the woods).
