    Skinny Fat

    Primal Fuel
    I am 5' 1" and 110 which doesn't sound like much but I am skinny fat. I've been doing Primal for a few months now and that got me to 110. So my question is, which priority will get me away from skinny fat the most? Lifting heavy or reigning in my diet to lose more fat?

    Anything that builds muscle. I prefer heavy lifting.

    Why not do both?

    From what I understand diet has a larger affect than working out (when it comes to weight loss) but I am not sure when you are your size. I am sure someone will chime in with more info.

    Lift heavy, only do moderate amounts of cardio and don't actively try to diet or overeat. Chances are, you might be lucky enough to see some muscle gain and fat loss if you do this.

    Yep! Diet won't help skinny fat.

    Diet will help fix the fat.
    Lifting heavy will help fix the skinny.

    *Caveat: This is assuming there are no other issues that have to be dealt with first.

    In general, 110 lbs isn't that skinny (as a weight) for your given height. It seems that your major goal is body recomposition. So if you want better feedback, take the major measurements with a tape, then clearly state your goals. To put it in another way: women *DO CARE* about measurements, it's silly to deny that. So, say what you really want, then you will probably get better suggestions than the general "lift heavy weights and walk around".
