Protein shakes before a workout?
What do you guys use for a protein shake on days when you will be lifting? Most of the ones I have found use Splenda, which I really want to avoid. Do you use a shake at all?
I know that the "Primal Fuel" is very good, however, it is out of my price range.
Any other suggestions?

I buy whey in bulk since it stores in a cool dark place for over 2 years. As for making a shake, I just mix it with full fat milk since I can handle dairy, sometimes splashing in cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, etc. If you can't do dairy, I'm sure coconut milk would be delicious.
