Does sweating = dirty? page

I broke out in quite a sweat today at a pistol match. Am I "dirty" and in need of a shower if I didn't roll around in slop?

What's your opinion?

I understand if you are digging in the dirt or changing the oil in your car, that you may get dirty and may sweat, but if you just sweat, do you consider yourself in need of a bath?

Do you have an offensive smell or are you sticky? If the answer is no to either one then I wouldn't sweat it. heh, sorry. These days I've been getting downright filthy and even if I wasn't covered in dirt and manure the amount of sweating I do would be enough to make me want to rinse off at the very least. A lot of dried sweat leaves me feeling icky. But if you don't feel icky then I wouldn't think you'd need it.

I take a shower after work every day because I sweat a lot working outside, but in my case it's because of the salt. Sometimes you can even see it on my skin, and you can definitely feel it. Also, everything on the planet sticks to sweaty skin. So if you've been outside, it can be pollen or whatever else is floating through the air. Is that a bad thing? That's your call.

I ride my bike to work and am pleasantly sweaty when I arrive. I change into my work clothes and don't give it a second thought.

I usually shower after getting sweaty as I feel dirty and smelly and a shower feels so good!
