Curious: Have we adapted to salted meat?

    Primal Fuel
How long did man rely on salted meat, and has it been adjusted to in any healthy way? I'm not talking about weird sulfides and preservatives, but about natural earth salt. Would it have been seasonal, say in the winter? In what eras and on which continents did man regularly keep salt boxes to preserve his food? Does anyone have good links for this sort of question?

Since we found out that meat dipped in seawater wasn't half bad.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.
