Unhappy How to stop Primal baking taste either coconut-ie or almond-ie?

    Primal Fuel
I love to bake. But apparently most flour being or primaly legal is coconut flour or almond flour. Is there other flavour out there?

    Thanks.

I have seen hazelnut flour ($$$) at my grocery store, but I haven't tried it yet. I bet it would make some delicious pancakes though.

Tapioca starch/flour, while rather well..starchy, is a pretty flavorless option that I enjoy for rolls/pizza crust.

Pecan gives a nice almost whole grain flavor and has lower carbs than almond meal.

My suggestion is white rice flour, but it might be frowned upon. I have had great success using it to make pizza dough. If carbs aren't an issue, it doesn't get much purer and low toxicity than white rice flour.

Yep. I just bought a block and sliced it into roughly quarter inch slices and laid it on top. Just note that white rice flour doesn't cook like wheat flour. I had to pre-cook the crust in a pan for 5 minutes, then toss it directly on the bottom rack for 5 minutes to crisp the bottom. After that, I added my sauce and cheese and threw it under the broiler and rotated it every minute or so to brown it evenly.
