    Breakfast leftover beef from yesterday about 50g protein. Was hungry during morning. WTF?
    Lunch. Chicken and bacon soup, salad
    Snack. 2 belgium chocolates. (yeah I know)
    Dinner. Last of leftover beef, big salad
    Snack. 1 tsp of coconut oil.

    Tomorrow going to visit my mum. My mum believes in eating lots of food and low fat everything. Will do my best to stay primal. Have asked if we can have salad as evening meal with cold meat and we going out for roast dinner on Sunday so that's ok.

    Meant to do my LHT workout tonight, then pack, but just sat on sofa reading instead.

    That seems to be one of my biggest challenges as well, eating with non primal people. They just don't get it and instantly think that you are the one with "issues"

    I'm not at the stage where i want to discuss it with people, especiLly family. I'm still overweight so I don't have the authority yet to say 'fat is great, ditch the grains' and have them believe me!


    A few years ago my mum started having terrible sensations and hallucinations of falling through the ground which were really distressing to her. She went to several specialists but none could find what was wrong.

    I started researching and discovered that aspartame can cause these types of symptom. My mum has aspartame every day in the form of diet yoghurt and diet drinks and has done for years. I begged her to give it up, which she did and the symptoms stopped.

    But then a specialist doctor said that she hads never heard of aspartame causing these symptoms so the diet products started creeping back in. Guess what the symptoms returned. Yes I know n=1 and all that. But she's convinced she will gain weight if she eats non-diet food. However my mum is thinner than me so there's nothing yet to convince her that you don't need it!

    Just watch this space peeps. I will be a testament to the fact you can slim and strong without eating ANYTHING with the word 'diet' on the front of it.

    Weighed myself this morning 12st 5 which is 1.5 lbss down since Monday. Woohoo!

    And i tried a top on that was given to me for my birthday in February. I could get it on, but it was a bit tight across the chest so i hadn't worn it. Today i tried it on and it fitted perfectly. Yay!


    Food today

    Breakfast, tsp cocnut oil
    Lunch 3 eggs omlette, 3 chopped slices back bacon, 1tst ghee, 20g of red leicester cheese, tomato, pepper, cucumber, lettuce.
    Dinner, lettuce, cucumber hummus, quiche (left the pastry), salmon, chilli prawns, mackerel pate
    Nectarine.
    2 crisps.
    1 tsp cocnut oil

    Oops not updated my journal for a few days.

    Food at mum's house was ok. Was able to pick the bits of salad that were primal and skipped the chocolate muffins at breakfast (!). Roast dinner the following day was fine. Had a pudding and felt a bit sick after it as it was the first sugar I had, had in a while.

    Monday I wasn't at work - had a great morning.... then had a binge on chocolate in the afternoon. Not good.

    Tuesday at work - had 30g of protein for breakfast.... salad, meat and soup for lunch .... then 5 chocolate biscuits in the afternoon and more chocolate when I got home, plus fruit and yohurt. It was like the carb craving floodgates had opened.

    Today I had 50g protein at breakfast 7am , and I still had carb cravings at 10.30 although I was able to ignore them
    30g of protein with a big salad at lunch. had 1 chocolate in the afternoon - not ideal, but not the end of the world.


    Not sure what is going on. I'm on prednisone which does weird things with your appetite. Each day I have had a protein breakfast although today was the first one that hit the 50g protein mark. (Boy chowing that down was not fun).
    Has been a bit easier today with the cravings and having a higher protein lunch helped. I could still cheerfully demolish a carb factory.
