Do you have any recommendations pre natal?

Totally love this!! I sure wish I had known about PB around Christimas. I'm betting it would've helped my horrid morning sickness & every other complaint I've had so far. All the supplements are spot on, and I couldn't agree more. Especially D, Magnesium, and Folic Acid (iron not so much, simply because for me, dietary sources have been plenty, but I know other moms who struggle even with a better diet than mine).

As a mom who started at just shy of 32 weeks pregnant, I can only say that my blood pressure dropped from 125/85 (not normal for me during my pregnancies) down to 110/60 (normal for me during pregnancy, just not this one) in just a week on PB. I have not gained any more weight, hovering at 174 for the last month or more (already 25-30 pounds more than pre-pregnancy), though I am eating what I crave when I'm hungry & not limiting myself at all, not even on the dark chocolate! I love how I feel now. All the achies have significantly diminished, and I'm sleeping better than I would have expected. I have energy again, though I do have to take care not to overdo it & have contractions. I could go on.

As far as for moms in the TTC, from what I have learned so far, plus what I already knew before (I, too, tried to feed my family WAP as best we could), just stay Primal, plus add in the supplements Sondra recommends. It should give you all the nutrition you need. That's my $.02, anyway.

Thanks, and you're welcome! I can't wait to see if it makes my delivery and recovery easier, too. I just hope it doesn't change labor speed, however. At 3 hours start-to-finish, I think that's just fine.

Thank you for posting this! I am currently hoping to conceive my second child! I wasn`t Primal when pregnant with my daughter but i intuitevely, craved meat and veggies and wasn`t interested in carbs (not even sweets, this, however, das changed again since then). Interestingly, I didnīt gain any weight (though definitely eating "enough") until I reluctantly re- introduced the starchy carbs (enjoyed fruit before) at around 20 weeks for everyone told me how much I needed them! So I agree that some women might gain less when eating nutritionally dense food! Did you find women experience more swelling when eating more carbs during pregnancy? This would be interesting to know. Also, pregnant women are always encouraged to snack to "keep blood sugar stable". From your experience, do the pregnant women following the primal lifestyle have less problems with blood sugar lows? I
