Welcome Laurie! Primal is all about enjoying life.
Hello all,
I've long been interested in the whole foods/real foods movement and have dabbled in diet change (to find that I feel much better). I even gave vegetarianism a brief go about two years ago in the interest of upping my veggie intake and lowering my consumption of "Mr. Bad Meat." About a year into the Veg kick, I had to put a stop to it because I just felt terrible! It felt like I was always bloated and uncomfortable, and I often got sick. Now that I realize how much wheat and how many empty carbohydrates (and how little fat) I was putting into my body during that time period, I'm beginning to wonder if this whole paleo thing might not make a bit of sense.
So, consider me more-than-mildly intrigued in this primal diet business.
Aside from my interest in the food you all eat, I notice that people here seem to be in the business of living happy, stress-reduced, active lives. I currently walk about 3 miles a day (aside from walking to get groceries or into town), but I do little else. This probably should change.
I'm also currently living in Ireland for the summer. Back home in Alabama (where I'm soon headed), I walk about a mile and a half everyday, work a fairly active up-on-my-feet cafe job, and hula hoop whenever I get the chance.
But, sometimes I need a little inspiration to get up, get out, and get moving. I'm sure people here will be more than willing to give my Grok gumption a boost.
So, I look forward to meeting y'all and hearing your tales! Thanks for providing such interesting reading material and (pardon the pun) food for thought.

Ancestral Health Info
I design websites and blogs for a living. If you would like a blog or website designed by someone who understands Primal, see my web page.
Primal Blueprint Explorer My blog for people who are not into the Grok thing. Since starting the blog, I have moved close to being Archevore instead of Primal. But Mark's Daily Apple is still the best source of information about living an ancestral lifestyle.
Welcome! You'll love this lifestyle and WOE. Have you read Mark's Primal Blueprint yet?
Welcome LaurieSafari (I love the username!). I was a vegetarian for many years and became intrigued about primal a short time ago. If you don't mind saying, where are you in Ireland? My husband and I were there in March/April of this year - we traveled all along the West coast and had a fabulous time.
