    Weight up the day after weight training

    Does this happen to anyone else? I weigh a pound or two more the day after I weight train. No change in diet.

    Water weight even if you don't replenish glycogen stores. It's inflammation.

    OK, but what does that mean? I am storing glycogen.....for how long? Does it get used up? I need more help on this.

    Not necessarily glycogen. It could be water weight just from the "stress" of weight training increasing cortisol resulting in water weight increase. I've been weight training for 10+years and I will still sometimes retain water after a very difficult weight training day. For me, it usually only lasts 1-2 days. But it's just water so nothing to worry about.

    I always gain a pound or two after a tough weight workout, but I will lose again. And yes, read the article.

    this i think happened to me this week. still trying to lose the 2 lbs i gained after monday nights workout
