How Primal are you: About 80% at the moment, but doing my best to get to about 95% primal 95% of the time

Do you consume dairy: Yes, but I'm trying to slowly wean myself off cheese...I don't eat any other dairy

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes and Yes, but I try to limit to a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and only drink green tea

Motivator for switching to Primal: My weight was steadily creeping up and all the CW diets in the world didn't help, so I thought...nothing else has worked and I really don't have anything to lose but the jiggle around the middle

Favorite exercise: Bellydancing is my new passion since my car wreck. Before that it was Muay Thai kickboxing.

    Favorite Primal food: BACON!!!!!

Best part about being Primal: Getting to eat all the "fattening" foods I have diligently avoided for decades because I was doing the low fat thing like a lot of other people and getting fatter and more unhealthy in the process.

Worst part about being Primal: Trying to explain my new eating habits to others as they try to push me into eating starchy foods.

    The Questions:

    Your location: Minneapolis, MN

    Age (If you want): 28

How Primal are you: It fluctuates...right now I'm at a lowly 50%, but I've been as high as 90% & I'm getting back there.

Do you consume dairy: Yes, mostly in the form of butter, heavy cream, and some limited cheese.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Mostly coffee now, 1 cup or less a day.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I had a friend who told me about the site & I tried it & fell in love. I've learned that I'm carb sensitive & this form of eating has allowed me to lose weight, feel so much better, and stick to the lifestyle.

    Favorite exercise: Yoga practice

Favorite Primal food: Hmm...if I had to choose it would probably be a steak with a big salad, yum.

Best part about being Primal: Enjoying lots of delicious well-made food because Primal keeps me away from processed food that doesn't taste good. The weight loss is great too.

Worst part about being Primal: Figuring out what to eat inthe morning....at one point I got so sick of eggs that I couldn't eat them anymore.

How Primal are you: Just getting started....

Do you consume dairy: As little as possible

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes to both

Motivator for switching to Primal: Developing fat

    Favorite exercise: Climbing

Favorite Primal food: I love eating huge quantities of meat with grilled veg.

Best part about being Primal: No more stomach pains

Worst part about being Primal: Watching my beer intake

I'm originally from England but have been in the US for about a year. I've noticed a severe lack of high quality food over here which has caused me to gain body fat.

Most of my life has been spent consuming grains and carbs with the belief it keeps me healthy but as I've got older, I have more mood swings and find it harder to stay in shape.

Mark's book is similar to what I have read before but has one HUGE difference, namely it is the first to realise that as humans, we can be tempted by bad habits and instead of stamping them out altogether, he finds way to manage them, even if that means having a beer or a piece of chocolate once in a while.
