Wow, lots of Gen X'ers here! :-)

Here's my info, since I've already posted a few things in the forums.

    The Questions:

Your location: Albuquerque, New Mexico (its cleaner than regular Mexico)

Age (If you want): decidedly mid-30s

    How Primal are you: 60-80%

Do you consume dairy: yogurt, half & half

Do you drink coffee or tea: YES

Motivator for switching to Primal: get leaner (yeah, its superficial but I am an athlete and that's my lame excuse)

Favorite exercise: long distance running, hot yoga

Favorite Primal food: huge salad with rare steak

Best part about being Primal: it feels natural

Worst part about being Primal: ice cream is so damn tasty, and no sushi rice

OTHER: I'm still a current ("future recovering?") chronic cardio nut. My food weakness beyond ice cream and sushi (rice), believe it or not, is protein bars. I freakin' love the things. I'm a freelance writer by night and a software product manager by day.

I've been Primal now for almost two weeks. I have to say, I thought I would have a harder time with it. Especially giving up sugar. I was a huge sugar addict.

    Your location: Laurel, MD

    Age (If you want): 38

How Primal are you: Cut all grains and all sugar. Still have some non-primal items like Linguica.

Do you consume dairy: Yes. Cream for my coffee and I love cheese.

Do you drink coffee or tea: I can't give up my coffee. I completely stopped caffeine a few years ago, but I couldn't stand being a "quitter".

Motivator for switching to Primal: I don't want to be one of the broken down old men that can only recall the good old days.

Favorite exercise: Put something heavy on my back and let me walk/run.

Favorite Primal food: Meat, followed in a close second by meat.

Best part about being Primal: Feel great. I don't have the "normal" slump after my lunch. Plus, my wife thinks I look good.

Worst part about being Primal: Listening to people telling my how I'm not eating right.

    Your location: St Louis, MO

    Age (If you want): 28

How Primal are you: about 65 to 70%, working towards higher

Do you consume dairy: only in moments of weakness, usually stick with goat cheese

Do you drink coffee or tea: if I drink either one at all, it is unsweetened green tea

Motivator for switching to Primal: I stumbled upon the daily apple originally, then got to reading... that was really all it took for me to give it a week trial run... and I haven't turned back.

Favorite exercise: I would have to say walking. Other things are fun and all, but this allows some nice solitude for de-stressing on a nice trail (or for company if I'm in the mood)

Favorite Primal food: Kabobs, hands down nothing quite like cooking meat and veggies over a fire

Best part about being Primal: The energy, weight loss, size loss, just 'feeling' better, the foods, my sense of taste becoming stronger... pretty much everything.

Worst part about being Primal: the lack of convenient "on the fly" food sources in our society.... that and having to spend 30 minutes explaining the whole thing and re-establish the faith in my sanity (WHAT?! NO BREAD!!!?) to everyone that says "WOW! you lost a lot of weight, how did you do it?"

Anyone interested in getting together locally (or even semi-locally), I'm game for it! It would be nice to be around some like minded people for once.

Worst part about being Primal: I do miss bread and pasta but the hardest thing is not having anyone around that understands this choice.

I go by grandma, because that is where I am in my de-evolution. I'm trying to take my lifestyle back a couple generations. I'm not hunter/gatherer I am the product of an agricultural society. For the most part I buy food raised by others, I'm trying to make sure those foods are healthy and natural. I grow a bit of my own food and I am considering raising some animals of my own. I think once I do that I will go by great-grandma. Will I ever get to grok? I don't know, we'll see.

I am actually not a grandmother nor a woman, as an icon I think grandma lived better than grandpa. grandpa was subject to much more stress of the modern world and died younger as a result, also grandpa got terrible advice from the DRs of the day and his life was shortened for it. So grandma it is.

It's grandma, but you can call me sir.
