    Your location: Utah, about 35 minutes north of Salt Lake City. No, I'm not Mormon. Neither is my partner. He's originally from California. I'm originally from New York. It's a long story.

    Age (If you want): 36

    How Primal are you: 87.956% primal. Have the eating down well, need to work on the moving more part of things.

    Do you consume dairy: Some, yes.

    Do you drink coffee or tea: Tea, constantly. Probably about half a gallon a day.

    Motivator for switching to Primal: After about a year of reading on and off, it just made too much sense to not give it a whirl. About 8 weeks later, there's no looking back.

    Favorite exercise: Strength training

    Favorite Primal food: Meat. More meat. I make a pretty killer shrimp fra diavolo.

    Best part about being Primal: The energy. The lack of heartburn. The knowledge that after years of trying, we're finally doing something worthwhile for ourselves.

    Worst part about being Primal: Explaining to co-workers why, at the pot lucks, I do not want to try their jello salad, cupcakes, cookies, and other pre-packaged everything goods. It's become easier to blame food allergies. I also have a bad habit of wanting to smack crappy food out of people's hands when I see them partaking.

    How Primal are you: I've been primal for about a week now ..

    Do you consume dairy: I try to avoid it , but it depends on the situation

    Do you drink coffee or tea: Both , I try to limit the coffee to 2 cups a day. I do tea on afternoons and evenings. Coffee in the morning

    Motivator for switching to Primal: I exercise and exercise and the body fat % just doesn't go much lower. I came across Mark's Daily Apple and something clicked. I immediately went Primal and am thoroughly enjoying it.

    Favorite exercise: Sprinting !

    Favorite Primal food: This will sound weird , but I love olive oil. I know a guy who makes his own olive oil in Tuscany,Italy and I just ordered 20 liters
    I would drink it if that wouldn't be weird

    Best part about being Primal: That feeling that you ate too much , that you should open your belt buckle a few notches ... it's gone completely. Also the fact that you know you are eating clean. Also , I eat when I'm hungry. And of course the energy. Today , I feel like I'm unstoppable. After about 4 days after going primal I crashed and burned. I had zero energy , my muscles hurt like I was having the flu. Now that all seems to have faded.

    Worst part about being Primal: The fact that out here I seem to be the only one who seems to be "enlightened". My girlfriend thinks I will die of heart disease by eating all those bacon omelets. The CW force is strong in that one. She already wants me to go to the doctor to check out my blood.
    I guess there's only one way to show her and that is being super healthy and in shape ..

    Hi all! I've been lurking & absorbing for a while.... figured it was time to take the plunge and join the forum

    Mark's book (Primal Blueprint) is in the mail, too. Very excited!

    How Primal are you: 75%, increasing

    Do you consume dairy: less & less... butter & cream make an appearance.

    Do you drink coffee or tea: tea usually... mostly organic green, red chai masala etc. coffee on occasion.

    Motivator for switching to Primal: Wellbeing, longevity, appearance, tapping potential

    Favorite exercise: tennis actually... great workout. otherwise sprints & martial arts.

    Favorite Primal food: any quality slab of meat, cooked to perfection

    Best part about being Primal: the satisfaction that comes from actually feeling the results of hard work & dedication

    Worst part about being Primal: 'modern diet' cravings

    How Primal are you: I've been primal for about 6 months. Food - completely, exercise - getting there, mentally - grrrr.... (that was my caveman noise)

    Do you consume dairy: No, me and dairy are not friends any more

    Do you drink coffee or tea: Coffee, but not much and often decaf

    Motivator for switching to Primal: Serious gut-related health problems related to coeliac disease.

    Favorite exercise: Pull ups.

    Favorite Primal food: Pulled pork belly.

    Best part about being Primal: Energy. Energy, energy, energy. I can almost feel the fatty acids flowing in and out of my cells. Well, not really, but I imagine I can Plus the ability to miss a meal with no side effects if I can't get primal gluten free food.

    Worst part about being Primal: I've been a 'food freak' for 15 years, so that doesn't bother me much. Other than that... the effort required not to rant about it at every opportunity?

    Howdy everyone! I've posted on here before, a month or two ago about my VFbram 5 fingers shoes. But I don't think I've formally introduced myself.

    Age (If you want): 35 and working on getting younger!

    How Primal are you: Just beginning, pretty much all or nothing

    Do you consume dairy: sometimes

    Do you drink coffee or tea: yes, both, but unsweet, with nothing added.

    Motivator for switching to Primal: health, need to lose a few pounds, and my husband has serious allergies and asthma which I want him to not have any more. I've started getting allergies just within the past few years and I hate it. Hopefully this will help both of us.

    Favorite exercise: riding my mountain bike.

    Favorite Primal food: Probably salmon but I do love steak.

    Best part about being Primal: The way I feel. I already feel "lighter" even though I haven't fully been Primal for a week yet, but just doing away with the grains and carbs/sugar already makes me feel less bloated and heavy.

    Worst part about being Primal: I'm on a tight budget, so eating the best meats is a challenge right now, as I can't afford the organic meats yet.

    How Primal are you: If I had to put a percentage on it I would say 85% (Damn dairy and coffee)

    Do you consume dairy: Yes (Damn dairy). I love cheese, yogurt and of course cream in my coffee. I would really like to cut back though.

    Do you drink coffee or tea: Both (80% of the time coffee, only decaf though. Gave up the caf in August 2009) Gotta love Cafe Verona and Chamomile Tea... separately, mind you!

    Motivator for switching to Primal: At the time, I was 325 pounds (gained everything back from a calorie counting scheme and a bloated ego). I needed a real answer. I started up for a solid 4 months in Jan 2009, dropped to 260lbs and then gained it all back due to rationalizing everything and having a very leanient 80/20 rule that turned into 50/50 or worse some days (i.e. Christmas Season). I want to be an athlete, like the one that CrossFit describes (having the ability to do any activity that falls out if the hopper). I want to be strong and look the part. Ultimately, I would love to be able to be Superman for Halloween and not use the foam muscles under the tights :S.

    Favorite exercise: As in activity, Hockey! As in motion or routine, I enjoy doing a push/pull routine in the form of a tabata workout.

    Favorite Primal food: Steak, spaghetti squash, home made tomato sauce and grill zucchini/asparagus! Primal pizza would be a close second though.

    Best part about being Primal: Independence and individuality that breeds curiosity at work or with friends and family.

    Worst part about being Primal: Feeling like people do not care about my nutritional needs. If some one is vegetarian, someone will go out and by tofu burgers for the meal. Because I am primal, people think I am a picky eater and tell me to find something to eat.

    Motivator for switching to Primal: gradual movement to healthier/natural diet

    Favorite exercise: deadlifts, squats, pull-ups, hill sprints (hard to pick!)

    Favorite Primal food: meat, of course

    Best part about being Primal: what's not to like?

    Worst part about being Primal: no more Manhattan's (bourbon is made from grains)

    How Primal are you: ~60% Just started a few days ago and still reading being shocked at how much grain and grain-based products there are in everything!

    Do you consume dairy: No

    Do you drink coffee or tea: Coffee: no; Tea: only when I'm sick

    Motivator for switching to Primal: Increased energy, general health without the need for an expensive gym membership or strict eating plan/schedule. Also, one more reason to justify my current barefoot running!

    Favorite exercise: Burpees (w/ star-jumps)

    Favorite Primal food: Bacon and (scrambled) eggs

    Best part about being Primal: More overall energy and no more carb-coasters!

    Worst part about being Primal: No more RICE and BREAD. =( Being Filipino, I was raised eating rice and/or bread everyday of my life since I can remember. Kicking the habit is hard! But I feel like I'm slowly losing the rice and bread cravings.

    Age (If you want): 41 years young

    How Primal are you: I would say about 90% and only because I still have yogurt and cottage cheese :-)

    Do you consume dairy: greek yogurt once a day or alternate with cottage cheese

    Do you drink coffee or tea: I drink tea/ no coffee

    Motivator for switching to Primal: Better health. I want to avoid getting sick and have a long healthy life.

    Favorite exercise: I must confess I like cronic cardio....(BB Insanity and P90X graduate)

    Favorite Primal food: NUTS

    Best part about being Primal: One word: ENERGY Oh my goodness, I noticed a change immediately!

    Worst part about being Primal: Nothing wrong with it, but getting other members of the family to eat primal has been a bit hard.
