Your location: Algonquin, IL - a Chicago suburb

    Age (If you want): 54

How Primal are you: not very... yet

Do you consume dairy: Not too much. Mostly just cheese on a sandwich when I do.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Both - I drink about 3 cups of black coffee in the AM, and a cup or two of green tea in the afternoon.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I eat too much trash, plus I'm confused as to what I should be eating.

Favorite exercise: Cardio kickboxing is my favorite. I also like total body resistance classes involving weight bars, etc.

Favorite Primal food: Steak - medium rare! I like T-Bones, Porterhouse, NY Strips, and Filet M's the most. Also luv Baby Back Ribs!

Best part about being Primal: eating foods I like in the first place

Worst part about being Primal: not sure there is any.

    Hi everyone!

Your location: British Columbia, Canada- specifically the Fraser Valley- farming heaven!

Age (If you want): 19, soon to be 20

How Primal are you: 90% I would say (I can't afford grass fed all the time, but try to stay at least organic)

Do you consume dairy: Yes, but only cream and hard cheeses

Do you drink coffee or tea: No coffee, occasional mug of unsweetened tea

Motivator for switching to Primal: Stepping on the scale one day and realizing I was almost 200lbs

    Favorite exercise: The "Big 5"

Favorite Primal food: Bacon and eggs cooked in coconut oil

Worst part about being Primal: Getting nasty looks/comments when eating in a group setting "Bacon, ew, I thought you were trying to thin down? giggle giggle"

How Primal are you: maybe 2/3. I gave up sweets, processed foods, breakfast cereal, and pasta. I've reduced my bread consumption, but oddly, it's harder to give up than sweets.

Do you consume dairy: yes, but I've switched to higher-fat, pastured sources

Do you drink coffee or tea: a little of both

Motivator for switching to Primal: When I was pregnant, my ob-gyn told me that SAD was crap, and then I had a gestational diabetes scare (fortunately, I didn't have it, but it was a wake-up call!).

Favorite exercise: Ultimate Frisbee. It has sprinting in it and no one looks at you funny if you do it barefoot! Also I like bodyweight exercises and just plain old running.

Favorite Primal food: omelets, salmon, and beef stew

Best part about being Primal: The pregnancy weight just melted off and I get so many compliments about it. I apparently need a lot of calories because I just eat and eat. I love feeling confident that I'm eating nutritiously dense food.

Worst part about being Primal: I'm Jewish and every week we eat challah on Shabbat--oh, challah is the best! It's practically a commandment to eat it. (I still do.) Plus, kosher grass-fed meat is prohibitively expensive and you can only buy it in bulk online.

Hi! I'm Emily, new to the forum

    Your location: Austin, Texas

    Age (If you want): 31

How Primal are you: 90% ( I love mixing SF pudding w/ coconut milk. Trying to give it up or find a good substitute)

Do you consume dairy: Not really. I'm allergic to casein (effects my asthma/allergies). I do love my butter and like the occasional bit of chocolate and sprinkle of parmesean.

Do you drink coffee or tea: One glass of green tea a day. No coffee

Motivator for switching to Primal: I watched Fathead last year and started making changes (lost 25 pounds (and hit my goal weight) since giving up grains and sugar). A friend recommend Primal to me.

    Favorite exercise: Kickboxing, heavy weights

Favorite Primal food: Coconut (coconut oil, coconut milk, dried coconut)

Best part about being Primal: Being able to eat food with taste and still be thin and healthy!

Worst part about being Primal: My poor tongue, lol! I'm constantly having to bite my tongue to not lecture people when I hear them talking about how bad fat is for you!

    Hi!

I've been lurking this forum for probably about a month... ... I've finished reading Primal Blueprint and have been living it for 6 days now (today is day 6)

    Your location: Melbourne, FL

    Age (If you want):26

How Primal are you:99% ...I would say 100% but I've only been doing it for 6 days... and I'm hesitant to say I'm 100% since I am still very new to it and might be making a mistake or two (let's hope not )

Do you consume dairy: Only butter and only rarely... I try to stay away from the rest but am considering bringing heavy cream into the mix

Do you drink coffee or tea: No Thx, Water Plz (I've been drinking water as my main liquid for ages now)

Motivator for switching to Primal: Curious?... After reading page after page of articles the logic seems sound so wouldn't I be a fool not to try it?...Also losing a few pounds wouldn't hurt (I'm still a 'healthy BMI'...but could be better)

Favorite exercise: Hrm... that is tough... anything fun really... and I like to be outside

    Favorite Primal food: Meat MMmmmmm

Best part about being Primal: I'm not sure yet... I can't say I've found anything that is 'best' yet... although if I can get a six pack from it... that will be the best part

Worst part about being Primal: I'm not sure that I would say it is 'worst'... but it takes a lil bit to switch gears from grabbing window food after working a long day of OT on the weekends en route to my bed vs pre-planning and making sure I have something Primal to eat... it's not really bad...just something I need to be mindful of... although sometimes fasting is nice for those times...

    This is my first post!

Your location: the dirty south - Mobile, AL

    Age (If you want): 25

How Primal are you: i started following the primal lifestlyle over one month ago. i eat no grains, processed foods, or legumes and haven't cheated so far. i do have artificial sweetners with my coffee (which i'm weening myself off of).

Do you consume dairy: yes whole and all organic: milk, greek yogurt, cheese, and sour cream occasionally. i've never had any dairy issues and absolutely love greek yogurt.

Do you drink coffee or tea: both. switched to organic coffee and moderate myself on the number of cups. as i said earlier, i'm weening off of the artificial sweetners. i like hot tea to, especially organic chai

Motivator for switching to Primal: i am doing p90x. their nutrition plan wasn't really working out for me. i was starving all the time and not digging the part where you limit fruit and vegetable consumption. also, watching films like food inc., killer at large, and king corn and feeling absolutely disgusted by our food system. i had to find a way to be as natural as possible and eliminate all the processed garbage.

Favorite exercise: i love boxing and kenpo

Favorite Primal food: as a devoted turkey eater all of my life (all things turkey: ground, sausage, bacon etc.) i was nervous about going to beef. i bought my first grass fed ground beef a few weeks ago and ate a REAL hamburger (no bun of course). i am hooked.

Best part about being Primal: feeling borderline amazing all the time and feeling very proud of myself when i go grocery shopping and look into other people's carts.

Worst part about being Primal: no real drawback for me. the only thing i dislike is the little comments from others who don't follow the primal lifestyle. "are you starving yourself?" "how's your caveman diet?" etc.
