Your location: central NY state

    Age (If you want): 25

How Primal are you: I'm still easing into it - keeping it under 150 carbs per day at the moment and eating about 80-90% primal foods

Do you consume dairy: Yes - I plan on keeping cheese and some yogurt in my diet, and a little cream in my coffee

Do you drink coffee or tea: coffee.. I guess I just said that, heh

Motivator for switching to Primal: to help me lose these last 15 or so pounds, but mostly because I'm disgusted with all the junk I was eating, and I want to help keep myself and my husband free from diabetes (he doesn't cook, so he'll be eating primal-ish by default).

    Favorite exercise: cardio-kickboxing classes

Favorite Primal food: roasted asparagus, deviled eggs, anything with BACON

Best part about being Primal: I'm still counting my calories, and it's MUCH easier to stay within my goal range without feeling hungry all day long.

Worst part about being Primal: trying to decide which non-primal items in the pantry/freezer to keep (and eat in tiny portions, or feed to my husband) and which to throw out... I'm too poor to throw out everything. =[

I'm blogging again, at least a little bit.

    Your location: JC, Kansas

    Age (If you want): 34

    How Primal are you:

About 80% at this point but will probably be 90% in a month or so.

    Do you consume dairy:

Yes - I love cheese and buy cheese from Raw milk. I also drink organic whole milk from time to time.

Do you drink coffee or tea:

coffee every once in a while with full cream

    Motivator for switching to Primal:

Need to lose 100 pounds, tired of feeling horrible after I eat and then being hungry an hour later. I've been looking for a change in my diet for a while and found information about Weston A. Price and my research has lead me here. Been primal for about 2 weeks and have never felt better and am no longer craving food.

    Favorite exercise:

    Weight lifting

    Favorite Primal food:

Eggs, bacon, steak, fish, sunflower seeds and nuts

    Best part about being Primal:

I eat less food and feel satisfied much longer after a meal. I feel more energetic and I don't feel bloated and sluggish all the time.

    Worst part about being Primal:

I haven't found anything yet. I've done tests to see how food affects me, where I eat primal for two days and then eat "normally" for a day and I just feel awful that day and until I go back to primal. I think it's probably the best change I could have made for my health.

Been lurking around for a while now (yet only 4-5 weeks into RB) so I might as well say hello.

    Location: Nova Scotia, Canada

    Age: 28

How Primal are you: As much as I can be but still have areas I need to work on (I love cheese, there is a small story with it though).

    Do you consume dairy: Yes

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes, sometimes too much (0-3 cups a day)

Motivator for switching to Primal: Beyond the battle with weight? It just makes sense to me.

Favorite exercise: Lately? A body weight squat exercise were you squat then explosively jump up landing into another squat and coming up normal.

Favorite Primal food: Large slabs of beef?

Best part about being Primal: This is the first time in a long time I feel....well...normal.

Worst part about being Primal: Explaining it.

Small plateau atm, still pondering IFs. Stress level pretty high too so thats not helping.

    Anyway, hello everyone!

    Age (If you want):

How Primal are you: Not very. I started to go primal, became frustrated and went un-primal and have found I really do want to go primal I just need to DO it despite the difficulties.

Do you consume dairy: Yes, but I try to limit it. Raw goat milk is amazing!

Do you drink coffee or tea: Not anymore. I am a coffee addict and it is now poison to me and tea is well on the way to the same fate so I have cut it as well.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Chronic candida and weight gain.

    Favorite exercise: Walking/hiking

Favorite Primal food: A toss up between chard, buffalo and lamb (or all three together! )

Best part about being Primal: I don't feel like crap after I eat.

Worst part about being Primal: Being the only one in the house trying to go primal.

    The Questions:

    Your location: Illinois

    Age (If you want):46

How Primal are you: About 60% right now. Mostly eating meat, veggies/fruits, and nuts, but a grain-based carb gets thrown in occasionally. Further, my diet is mostly chain market-driven with few organic/pastured products.

Do you consume dairy: Yup! Love it.

Do you drink coffee or tea:Coffee occasionally. I am transitioning to it from diet soda.

Motivator for switching to Primal:Health and fitness and weight

    Favorite exercise: Squats

    Favorite Primal food: Steak

Best part about being Primal: No bloat. I can't believe how much better I feel from a pain/bloat perspective. I used to think I was becoming arthritic, but it seems my pain and swelling was a reaction to too much grain.

Worst part about being Primal: I love the taste of corn products!

Hi, I'm Julie and I'm new here. I have been surfing the site for a week or so, and my book just came in the mail today (yay!). I thought I would answer the questions and I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Your location: Northwest Hills of Connecticut

    Age (If you want): 41

How Primal are you: Not very, YET.

Do you consume dairy: Nope. Allergic to casein and whey.

Do you drink coffee or tea: Yes, one mug of joe most days, and herbal teas (1-2 mugs) daily.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Health. I need to kick this sugar habit and reach optimal health.

Favorite exercise: Probably yoga, but I love kettlebells and heavy weights too.

Favorite Primal food: I love all veggies.

Best part about being Primal: The health rewards I'm hoping!

Worst part about being Primal: I don't know yet, but I know as someone who has been gluten- and dairy-free for the past year, it is hard to skip out on the traditional party food ... and eating out has become somewhat of an adventure as I frequently get ill after (I have multiple food allergies and have Celiac).

    Age (If you want): 36

How Primal are you: more and more by the day.

Do you consume dairy: yes, heavy cream in the coffee and some cheese. switched over to coconut milk in my protein shakes...

Do you drink coffee or tea: coffee in the am 1 cup and I usually have some brewed green tea in the fridge for the afternoon.

Motivator for switching to Primal: Get leaner and healthy. Started January 9th at 6'2" and 268lb since then I have lost 12 lb. and my blood pressure has dropped from and average of 140/85 to around 120/75. I have tons more energy specifically in the afternoon because I am not digesting a carb heavy lunch anymore.

Favorite exercise: Sledgehammer swings, anything with the kettlebell (35lb. and 53lb.)and hiking. I love working out and getting the blood pumping...

Favorite Primal food: all of it. can't complain one bit..

Best part about being Primal: the overall feeling of better health..

Worst part about being Primal: For me it has been letting go of ice cream or sweet treats as part of my everyday ritual. Although after a couple weeks into it I had a pepsi for superbowl and that gave me a serious headache. I still indulge in a small bowl of ice cream ocassionally or a piece of chocolate..but ocassionally is the key word....
