    How Primal are you:

After a visit to the doctor in Late April 2012 and being told I needed to lose weight, I started researching the best ways to do so. One thing led to another and I found this site and the primal blueprint (which I bought for my Kindle). Since that time, I've been attempting to follow the guidelines. I would say I'm about 50-60% there.

    Do you consume dairy:

I have milk occassionally and same for ice cream (meaning two or the times a month for milk, maybe 1 time a month for ice cream)

Do you drink coffee or tea:

    I don't drink either.

    Motivator for switching to Primal:

Weight loss and healthy eating. I have the advantage that I don't like most breads and pasta's anyway, so switching to tasty animals is great for me, since that is what I mostly like anyway.

    Favorite exercise:

Walking. I'm want to start with the weight training, but haven't. No good reason.

    Favorite Primal food:

    Beef/Turkey

    Best part about being Primal:

    I'm dropping 2lbs a week...

    Worst part about being Primal:

Hmm...this is hard to say at this point. I'm a very picky eater, so that makes this tough to find enough variety of food. I'm not saying there isn't lots of variety...just saying I don't like most of it. I mean, I like Beef, Turkey, Chicken etc, but I"m not a big fan of almonds, spinach, squash and other assorted veggies.

Human psychology has recently accepted the co-existence of fine and evil from the comfort of when Adam and Eve ate the apple of expertise. There's happiness with sorrow, pleasure with pain, truth with lie, beauty with ugliness etc. You've seen the happy moments in your life as well as the moments of sorrow. Sometimes the memory and nervous about the negative time keeps on haunting only you are extremely much overwhelmed that you simply forget to smile. Do you think you're depressed and packed with anxiety at all times? Are you in a situation which may be termed as disorder?
Will not underestimate your depression and anxiety, they are true to life enemies and you'll never underestimate your enemies. Without a doubt the signs and symptoms of panic to help you compare and understand your trouble. There are certain physical warning signs of panic disorder, e.g. rapid or irregular heartbeat, peptic issues like gnawing feeling, nausea, "butterflies within the stomach" diarrhea, irritated bowel syndrome, sweating, or feeling cold and clammy headaches, lightheadedness or dizziness, body tension or aches, fatigue or breathlessness shaking, trembling or twitching difficulty dropping off to sleep or staying asleep, hot flashes or chills, chest pain, rubbery legs, tingling in fingers or toes. While doing so there are a few emotional symptoms in addition similar to a general feeling of apprehension and dread, nervousness, jumpiness, irritation, fearfulness or terror, isolation from others, feeling incredibly self-conscious and insecure, and fear you're dying or going wild strong desire to escape.

Hi! I'm Voss. I have several friends on Primal and seen the results so I felt like this was a positive change I could make in my life.

    Your location:

    Tampa Bay, FL

    Age (If you want):

    28

    How Primal are you:

Pretty much 100%. I was already gluten free due to severe allergies so the jump wasn't too bad to go primal.

    Do you consume dairy:

Yes. Cheese is something I can't bear to give up!

Do you drink coffee or tea:

Yes, I drink tea every couple of days.

    Motivator for switching to Primal:

I have been battling many food allergies since I was 12 and always attributed many of my other health issues as side affects to my allergies. After talking with a friend who has many chronic issues and how she was starting to get better control of them since switching to primal, I decided to make the change as well to improve my overall health.

    Favorite exercise:

    Swimming!

    Favorite Primal food:

    Leafy greens...and MEAT!

    Best part about being Primal:

The creativity that it inspires for creative cooking

    Worst part about being Primal:

I really miss corn chips. Corn chips have been my comfort food since I went gluten free many many years ago.

How Primal are you: I aim for 100%, but of course, can't always follow it perfectly. I try to stay as strict as possible.

Do you consume dairy: Yes, but only heavy cream.

Do you drink coffee or tea: I drink both; one or the other with cream at breakfast time most days.

Motivator for switching to Primal: I've always been in fairly good shape, but upon discovering the paleo/primal lifestyle, wanted to take it a step further and concentrate on my health and wellness.

Favorite exercise: Well, ideally none I'd rather just play and not know that I'm exercising. However, I've been trying to be more consistent in working out, and I like to do pushups, pullups, deadlifts, kettlebell swings. Intense and fast, and keep it simple.

Favorite Primal food: grass-fed beef or wild seafood

Best part about being Primal: The feeling that I'm moving, eating and playing in a more natural fashion, like I was meant to.

Worst part about being Primal: I can't be lazy anymore and just go with heavily processed snacks and foods when I'm in a rush.

Ok-I should be more accurate and say I'm 90-95% primal as I don't have the ability to eat 100% organic due to cost.

Hard cheeses have little to no lactose left in them, for instance Pecorino has none. I snack on hard cheeses as well as celery(for the crunch), there's no need to deprive yourself if you really love cheese. Depriving yourself of something you really enjoy, something that is not 'bad' for you, is not sustainable. Count it in your 20% if it makes you feel better. And I use Pork Rinds as a primal/paleo substitute, in much the same way I used to use corn chips: as a crunchy, oily snack or something to scoop dips or salsa with. I get em for a buck a bag @ my local Dollar Tree, in the chip section of course. Like chips, they are easy to splurge on, so I only buy 1 bag @ a time, once a week.
